Food Friday

Today's recipe is one I modified (i.e. made easy) from the Paula Deen version. While I'm sure her homemade sauce is fabulous, I'm perfectly content to use the kind out of the jar and save the time. And it still tastes great. This is one of our family favorites!

Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients:
2 medium size (about 16 oz.) jars Spaghetti Sauce
1 ½ pounds lean ground meat
8 ounces uncooked angelhair pasta
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese

Directions
1. Crumble ground meat in a saucepan. Cook until no pink remains; drain off the fat.
2. Combine ground meat and spaghetti sauce.
3. Simmer together about 20 minutes. While the sauce simmers, cook the pasta according to the package directions.
4. Cover the bottom of a 13x9x2 inch pan with sauce. Add a layer of pasta, then half of the cheese; repeat the layers, ending with the sauce.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
6. Top with the remaining cheese, return to the oven and continue to cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Cut into squares and serve.
8. Enjoy!
